1. Teil – Challenge: „Ein Film mit einem Auto auf dem Cover“
Wir starten die Motoren und brechen zu unserer neuen Challenge auf. Gefordert war „Ein Film mit einem Auto auf dem Cover“ und tatsächlich haben wir uns für zwei Filme entschieden, in denen die Autos auch eine handlungstragende Rolle einnehmen.
Im Episodenfilm Night on Earth (1991) von Jim Jarmusch werden wir Zeuge von fünf nächtlichen Zufallsbegegnungen, die sich zur selben Zeit in fünf auf der Welt verstreuten Taxis zutragen.
Anschließend begeben wir uns mit Peter Collinsons The Italian Job (1969) nach Turin, um dort an der Seite von Michael Caine und drei niedlichen Mini Coopern einen Batzen Gold zu entwenden.
2. Teil – Kinofilm: Star Wars: The Last Jedi (Spoiler!)
Traditionell sprechen wir in unserer Weihnachtssendung über Star Wars, und auch dieses Jahr bildet keine Ausnahme. Der achte Teil der Hauptreihe, Star Wars: The Last Jedi (2017), ist vor wenigen Tagen weltweit im Kino angelaufen und hat das Internet zum Brennen gebracht. Bei uns gibt es zwar ausnahmsweise keinen Streit, aber dafür umso mehr zu besprechen. In unserer (nicht spoilerfreien) Diskussion reden wir über Mut, Aufbrüche, Hoffnung, Humor, Blutlinien, Beowulf, und Ähnlichkeiten zur aktuellen Weltpolitik.
