Durch das vom Krieg gezeichnete feudale Japan zieht ein Spuk umher: zwei Frauen, die zuvor von einer Truppe wilder Samurai vergewaltigt und ermordet wurden, stehen von den Toten auf und schwören Rache. Jeden einzelnen Samurai wollen die beiden Geister fortan zur Strecke bringen. Dieser Rache-Pakt wird allerdings auf den Prüfstand gestellt, als ihr Sohn und Ehemann – ebenfalls ein Samurai – aus dem Krieg zurückkehrt und damit ein überirdisches Familiendrama entbrennt.
