1. Teil – Challenge: „Ein Film mit einem Einworttitel“
Passend zur aktuellen Challenge „Ein Film mit einem Einworttitel“ haben wir uns für zwei der elementarsten Wörter entschieden, die die menschliche Sprache zu bieten hat: Mommy und Machete.
Xavier Dolans Mommy (2014) erzählt im ungewöhnlichen 1:1-Format die Geschichte einer komplexen Mutter-Sohn-Beziehung. Hier begegnen wir nicht nur einem Drama voller Zärtlichkeit, sondern auch Musikvideo-Ästhetik, Sigmund Freud und die Magie des Aufatmens.
Den Kontrapunkt setzt Robert Rodriguez‘ verrückt-abgedrehter Streifen Machete (2010), in dem Danny Trejo mit der namensgebenden Waffe eine Spur der Verwüstung und womöglich auch eine wichtige politische Botschaft hinter sich her zieht.
2. Teil – Top 10: Das Filmjahr 2017
Im zweiten Sendungsteil präsentieren wir unseren traditionellen Jahresrückblick. Wir sprechen über die großen und kleinen Releases des Jahres 2017 und finden voller Vorfreude heraus, wie wenig zahlreich die Übereinstimmungen in unseren Top-10-Listen dieses Mal waren.
